Wow, it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. It seems like just yesterday. There have been a lot of ups and downs since then. Including my computer dying on me. But, such is life. I worked hard to build muscle. Although I feel like I could have worked harder and gone to the gym more. We are all our own worst critics. My next Figure competition is coming up in April. So, I’ve started my cutting diet. Increased protein, decreased carbs and large quantities of water. I have also increased my cardio. From waking up at 5 am every week day and using the elliptical to working up a sweat on the treadmill after lifting weights at the gym in the evening. It seems like I’m working out, working out again and sleeping. With constant eating in between. That’s exactly what to expect with a cutting a diet. It becomes your life the entire time. It takes a lot of will power to be this strict. But, it’s doable. I remember my first cutting diet, there were many times that I just wanted to give up and eat a burger and fries. But, the results and the wonderful feeling of accomplishment at the end are worth all of the effort. Always keep the end goal in mind no matter the temptation. I will keep updating my blog through this process. There is a lot more involved to getting ready for a Figure competition than just diet and exercise………
